The Lemon Orchard

The Lemon Orchard is a story wrtten by Alex la Guma in 1962 during the Aphartheid policy. In this story Alex La Guma explains the situation that black people suffered. This story takes place in a Lemon Orchard.

This story is about a coulored man that is threatened by a group of white men. They are walking through a lemon orchard. The white men take him in a cold night.

The coulored man is a school teacher, who is treated as an inferior person. The white men tied his hands and took him. The leader of the white men is a racist, arrogant and disrespectful person.

This story shows how people lived during the apartheid policy. The way in which coulored people were considered. This is a good story to know more about how society was at that time. I recommend this story to you because it is very interesting
